Larry Baxter
Lawrence W. Baxter, PC, was incorporated as a professional legal corporation, State of Illinois, April 8, 1985. Larry practiced with the law firm of Warren, Hayner & Baxter, PC, from 1971 to 1985 at 633 LaSalle Street, Ottawa, IL. He is a member of the LaSalle County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce. His offices are located on the first floor of the Larson Building, three blocks West of the Courthouse in downtown Ottawa. Larry was born in Ottawa. He attended Harding Grade School, Serena Community High School and received a B.S. Degree in agriculture from the University of Illinois in 1968. He attended the University of Illinois School of Law, receiving a J.D. Law Degree in 1971, and is admitted to the Illinois Bar and to the Federal District Court, Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves 1972-1976 attaining rank of Captain. He is a former Associate Director of LaSalle County Soil and Water Conservation District, (1972), past Director of the Ottawa Jaycees and a member of the Ottawa Kiwanis Club, serving as President in 1982. He is formerly a Director of the LaSalle County Cooperative Extension Foundation, Greater Ottawa Unltd., an economic development corporation, having served as President from 1984 to 1986, a member of the Third District Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness, and attorney for the Illinois Valley Association of Realtors, Inc. Currently he is on the CHO Foundation Board and ex-official member of Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce Board.
