Mike McGrogan
Mike McGrogan was born and raised in Ottawa and is a graduate of Marquette High School. Mike is second generation in the retail grocery business; he is the General Manager at Handy Foods IGA. He started working in the business at the age of 10 sorting returnable bottles. In 1994, he opened the Save A Lot store in Ottawa with sisters, Karen Corsolini and Beth Melvin. He and his sisters eventually opened stores in LaSalle and Streator. In 2001, Mike purchased, from his grandfather, Miltran Inc., a milk distribution company for Dean Foods. He has been married to Barbara for 15 years and is the father of two children Christopher, age 10 and Bailey, age 8.
