  • What is the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce?

  • We are a 501 C (6) non-profit, a voluntary membership organization that works to advocate for our business community, to create and foster opportunities for new and existing businesses in the area, and to support and uplift our members in any way we can.

    In broader terms, we are a local, member-based, community-focused organization that seeks to support and grow the Ottawa Business Community. We connect with business leaders all over the Ottawa area and create strong networks of mutual support and referral. Together with these networks, we support community events, encourage local commerce, and seek to benefit the overall quality of life in Ottawa, Illinois. 

    We also work closely with our members to make sure we are supporting each individual in the way that benefits them most. From connecting businesses to resources, promoting our members online, lobbying for policies beneficial to local businesses, offering access to educational workshops and events, and keeping our members up-to-date on the state of local business as a whole, we will do whatever we can to ensure our members are growing and thriving. 

    At the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce, we also understand that when the community benefits, all of our members benefit, too, and vice versa. That is why we seek to support the Ottawa community through dissemination of resources, our volunteer landing page, our involvement with community events and organizations, and our open communication with the Ottawa community.

  • Get Involved!

    Being a member of the Ottawa Area Chamber means you have a variety of opportunities to become involved with your business community and the community as a whole. Whether it's influencing Chamber decisions through our committees, helping with Chamber and/or community events, hosting your own events for your fellow members or the public, or just finding a new networking group that works for you, there are so many options for how you can increase your visibility and role in the community.
