Hosted by the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce, the Ottawa Farmers & Makers Market is a vibrant, family-friendly event that brings together local growers, makers, and artisans in the heart of downtown Ottawa, Illinois. We’re proud to partner with our incredible community of vendors to make the 2026 market season bigger, better, and more engaging than ever!

2026 Market Season Details

  • Opening Day: May 30th
  • Closing Day: October 17th
  • Location: Jackson Street, south side of Washington Square Park
    (Barricades will block access at LaSalle Street and Columbus Street)
  • Market Hours: Every Saturday from 8 am-12:30 pm.

Become a Vendor at the Ottawa Farmers & Makers Market

We welcome local farmers, food producers, artisans, nonprofit organizations, and entertainers to apply. All vendors must submit a completed application and receive approval before participating.

Vendor Categories

To ensure a diverse and high-quality market, applicants must fall into one of the following categories:

  • Fresh Produce Vendors: Local growers selling fruits, vegetables, and other fresh farm products.

  • Horticultural Goods: Nurseries or individuals offering plants, trees, vines, mulch, and similar items.

  • Cottage Food Producers: Vendors of homemade goods such as baked items, jams, dairy products, herb dips, teas, salsas, candies, and other hand-processed foods.

  • Local Artisans & Makers: Handcrafted or personally designed items like jewelry, art, home décor, handmade stationery, soaps, candles, or face painting. (Mass-produced or kit-based items are not permitted.)

  • Nonprofit & Community Organizations: Local charities and service organizations may participate to raise awareness or funds. All items for sale must be listed on the application and pre-approved by the Market Manager. Space is limited to two organizations per market date.

  • Educational & Entertainment Contributors: From live music and dance to hands-on demos and Q&A sessions, we welcome performances and learning opportunities that enhance the market atmosphere.

Who Can Apply?

Participation is open to all individuals aged 18 and older. All vendors must be the original grower, producer, or creator of the items they sell.
